Download CD ISO image; you can burn your own CD’s or mount image with some tool.

Setup procedure require fsutil.exe, which is available only on Windows XP and 2003 server. For Windows 2000, you need a copy of it in %SystemRoot%\System32.

However, setup process is fragile: hang if Windows Firewall block installation, crash if incorrect CD is inserted, environment variables expansion some works some don’t (eg. %programfiles% is expanded as local language for TDS and hardcoded as “Program Files” for DB2 file), etc...

From CD n# 1, launch tds\install_tds.bat

Setup require you use GUI install. Export your display if your server has not X server. You can use XMing under Windows.

Setup require bc (arbitrary precision number support).

To launch install process, use ./install_tds.sh from tds directory. It starts in background; be patient, it is required a while before X applicantion starts.

In case of trouble, you can find install logs in directory /var/idsldap/
